SOMETHING FAMILIAR

There is a quiet intimacy in the things we recognize without needing to explain them. Something Familiar is built on that feeling, an encounter with objects, images, and ideas that feel both personal and collective.

On November 20, The Shop at The Bass becomes the setting for a special pop-up presented by Offsite Culture in collaboration with STUDIO AF, featuring Miami-based artists Esdras T. Thelusma and Ruth Burotte. Together, they bring a universe of works that move fluidly between art and everyday life. Limited edition zines, T-shirts, prints, and playful objects such as toy cars and temporary tattoos invite visitors to explore, collect, and connect.

At its core, the project reflects on identity and community, on how memory transforms and takes shape through material and image. The artists weave together technology and storytelling, grounding their work in local narratives that feel immediate and resonant.

This is not just a pop-up, but a moment. A space where familiarity becomes something to hold, to wear, and to take with you.
