CLAUDIO MARCOTULLI - Technical Sheet
“Not All That Glitters is Gold” is a piece by Claudio
Marcotulli following Claudia Ariano
s invitation. The ring is created through a process
where an electromagnet is used for imprinting a
magnetic field into the resin as it cures. This technique
, which the artist calls electromagnetic photography,
captures the magnetic patterns permanently.
The piece also includes a lighted box that serves as
a displayand can be hung. This work is part of the
artist’s ongoing long-term study, now realized in the
form of a ring.
The title, “Not All That Glitters Is Gold” emphasizes
that true artistic value lies in creativity, not in material
wealth.
